Software Association of Oregon Partners with LifeBalance Program

PORTLAND, OREGON (January 2009)-The LifeBalance Program is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Software Association of Oregon (SAO).  In March 2009, SAO will unveil a new group benefit plan to participating companies, and this new plan includes the LifeBalance Program as a value-added component. In partnering with the LifeBalance Program, SAO becomes the latest in a series of prominent trade associations and employers who have chosen to invest in health and wellness.

The LifeBalance Program is designed to encourage employees to engage in recreational, cultural and wellness related activities outside of the workplace. Employees of participating SAO companies are granted access to the LifeBalance Program, which features an exclusive network of savings on wellness related activities, events and services throughout Oregon and much of the United States. The program also offers members a variety of online wellness features, including health monitoring tools, fitness tips, healthy recipes and expert articles.

"SAO is very pleased to be partnering with LifeBalance for our group healthcare package,” said Bryce Yonker, Director of Membership for SAO. “It adds a special flavor to the package that makes it more unique and appealing to our tech companies who demand the very best benefits for their employees.”

Formed in 1989, SAO is a statewide organization dedicated to the growth and support of Oregon’s software industry. The association is comprised of approximately 460 software companies and contractors, with an estimated 20,000 members. Open enrollment for the new group benefit plan begins March 2009.  

The LifeBalance Program is an active wellness program headquartered in Portland, Oregon. The program has been helping clients and members achieve an active, healthy and balanced life through recreational, cultural and wellness activities, events and resources since 1996.
