LifeBalance Program Unveils New Wellness Assessments
PORTLAND, OREGON (April 2009) - While many employers are searching for ways to improve the health of their workforce, the LifeBalance Program continues to provide clients with new tools to help employees reach their wellness goals. The program recently unveiled the LifeBalance Virtual Coach, a new website feature containing assessments designed to help members evaluate and improve their overall health and environmental impact.
Featuring four separate assessments, the Virtual Guide helps employees evaluate their current Physical Fitness, Nutritional Wellness, Green Living Habits and Community Involvement. In addition to providing employees with a customized analysis in each category, the assessments also feature a number of motivational tips and suggestions on how to make improvements, both large and small, in each area.
The new assessments are just some of many resources available to LifeBalance members through the program’s website. In addition to providing members with savings at nearly 4,000 recreational, cultural, travel and wellness related businesses, the program also offers a wide variety of wellness tools for members to utilize. Employees can find Activity Planners and Trackers, Food Journals, Calorie and Heart Rate Calculators, and an Ask the Experts feature with hundreds of informational articles written by fitness and nutrition professionals in the LifeBalance provider network.
“The goal of our program is not just to offer our members savings, but also to use our website to provide them with a variety of health and wellness resources,” said Program Director Dave Miller. “We wanted these assessments to be an unintimidating and useful way for members to evaluate their current habits and get ideas on how to improve in each category. Our goal is to continue to keep providing members with new, helpful tools to help them set, monitor and ultimately reach their wellness goals.”
