Local
Businesses Gear Up for Providence Bridge Pedal Expo
PORTLAND,
OREGON - The Providence Bridge Pedal is quickly approaching
which means that businesses participating in this year's
Health and Wellness Expo are getting geared up to offer
contests, giveaways and important wellness-related information.
This year, LifeBalance has invited over twenty-five of
their preferred recreational and cultural business partners
to participate in the event. A sampling of these businesses
includes G.I. Joe's, Copeland Sports, Gymboree Play &
Music, Portland Rock Gym and Westside Martial Arts. The
LifeBalance Program has had a strategic relationship with
the Providence Health System since 1998 and consistently
plays an important role in planning and executing the
annual Bridge Pedal Expo.
"This
year we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Providence
Bridge Pedal. We are happy that the LifeBalance Program
has been with us for many of those years and has been
a key player in the success of the Expo. We are glad that
people attending the Expo will get a chance to learn more
about them as well as Providence Health System's programs
and services," said Lynda Werner, Director of Regional
Marketing and Communications of the Providence Health
System.
The
LifeBalance Program is happy to provide participating
local business partners with the opportunity to give back
to the community, while obtaining valuable face-time with
potential clientele. "Every year LifeBalance has contributed
to the value of the Expo by bringing in many of its recreational
and cultural business partners to display," said Paul
Alati, Director of the LifeBalance Program. "The event
is a great way for people to learn more about health,
wellness and recreational activities that provide positive
impacts on communities that people may have never known
were available to them," Alati added.
The
Providence Bridge Pedal Health and Wellness Expo will
be held at the Double Tree Hotel - Lloyd Center Exhibit
Hall on Friday, August 12 from 11:00 am - 6:30 pm and
Saturday, August 13th from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. The Expo
offers fun for the whole family and precedes the Providence
Bridge Pedal event on Sunday, August 14th. The Expo is
a great way to rev up involvement in recreational and
cultural programs and activities.
