Alaska Regional Hospital Selects LifeBalance Program as Employee Benefit
PORTLAND, OREGON (October 2008) - As many employers are struggling to control costs, the Alaska Regional Hospital has taken a proactive approach to lessen the burdon of continually rising health care options and employee absenteeism. Beginning November 2009, the Alaska Regional Hospital will provide employees access to the LifeBalance Program, an employer sponsored benefit designed to encourage employees to make healthy lifestyle choices.
In selecting The LifeBalance Program, the Alaska Regional Hospital joins other Anchorage employers utilizing the Program to promote a healthier, happier and less stressed workforce. Current LifeBalance clients in the Anchorage area include Providence Health and Services, the Municipality of Anchorage, Residential Mortgage, Homestate Mortgage and USKH Inc.

"It is exciting to be a part of the growing wellness movement in the Anchorage community and to be able to provide access to wellness services and resources to a population so committed to making healthy lifestyle choices."
In joining The LifeBalance Program, Alaska Regional Hospital employees will have access to exclusive savings on recreational, cultural and wellness related activities, tickets and events at over 3,000 businesses. Additionaly employees will be able to utilize online wellness tools and educational and informational health and wellness articles.

The program has been helping clients and members achieve an active, healthy and balanced life through recreational, cultural and wellness activities, events and resources since 1996.
