LifeBalance Program Unveils Holiday Guide
PORTLAND, OREGON (November 2008) - In a year of economic instabality, many holiday celebrations are undergoing dramatic transformations. Companies are scaling back or omitting events altogether and families are finding new ways to share the holiday spirit.
In recognition of this transitional holiday season, The LifeBalance Program is finding new ways to help members and clients enjoy a less stressful, less expensive and more rewarding holiday season. The 2008 LifeBalance Holiday guide will feature reduced prices on gift items, tips and ideas for creating homemade gifts, healthy, cost effective and delicious recipe ideas and opportunities to participate in community service that does not require financial commitment.
“We are pleased that The LifeBalance Program can be such an integral part of the holiday season for our members and clients alike," said Dave Miller, LifeBalance Program Director. "It is rewarding to see clients who are able to provide holiday incentives by purchasing our reduced price movie or lift tickets for employees, office community service celebrations revolving around sending cards to sick children, an activity found in our Community Corner and individual members looking for financially responsible recipes on our website and receiving grocery delivery at a reduced price."
The LifeBalance Program also offers members significant savings on family activities for the holidays. "When the kids are out of school for winter break our members have the opportunity to catch a Blazers game, take in the Zoo lights, hit the slopes on Mt. Hood or get away and visit the Great Wolf Lodge," said Miller. "This year, as finances are a growing cause of stress and are limiting many more people, our members will receive exclusive savings on all of these activities and many more."
