Dave is a Director at the LifeBalance Program and has always had a high regard for active lifestyle choices. Dave holds Bachelors degree in employment relations from Michigan State University. In 1996 he co-founded Absolute Recreation Management and the LifeBalance Program. The mission of the LifeBalance Program is to encourage members to engage in recreational and cultural pursuits in order to improve health and quality of life through active lifestyle choices. Today that program services over 1,000 clients across Oregon, Washington and Alaska with a membership base over 350,000 program members.
Dave is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys fly fishing for trout and floating western rivers searching for elusive steelhead and salmon. Cycling, backpacking, whitewater rafting and mountaineering are also strong passions with Dave in his quest for his own LifeBalance. Experiencing live theatre throughout the Portland area also fits into Dave’s active life.
Dave is also the State Representative for Oregon with Health Promotion Advocacy Network, a non-profit organization with a mission to promote healthy lifestyles among all Americans to thereby reduce medical costs, improve quality of life, and enhance employee productivity. Dave also volunteers time to help disadvantaged kids learn the sport of fishing at the Camp Angelos Youth Fishing Camp.
Dave lives in SE Portland with his wife Julie and their three young children. Work/Life Balance is something the entire LifeBalance team practices and Dave is no exception.
